All patterns are classed based on an estimated difficulty on a scale of 1 to 5, based on the following criteria:
1 out of 5 - The pattern calls for basic techniques, which are used one at a time.
2 out of 5 - The pattern calls for basic techniques. Multiple techniques may be in use at the same time.
3 out of 5 - The pattern calls for mostly basic techniques, but some parts may require special attention.
4 out of 5 - The pattern calls for advanced techniques, which are used one at a time.
5 out of 5 - The pattern calls for advanced techniques. Multiple techniques may be in use at the same time.
